這件事，當(dāng)年在國際上，曾引起不小的轟動(dòng)！

兩年后，也就是2003年，為了保護(hù)這處歷史遺跡，聯(lián)合國教科文組織，將巴米揚(yáng)谷文化景觀和考古遺址，作為文化遺產(chǎn)列入《世界遺產(chǎn)名錄》。

然而，可惜的是，文化古跡，已經(jīng)被破壞得很嚴(yán)重了！

其實(shí)，關(guān)于巴米揚(yáng)大佛，還有一件事，也非常值得一提。

那就是，我們古代著名高僧玄奘法師，西天取經(jīng)途中，曾經(jīng)到訪過巴米揚(yáng)。

更加令人嘖嘖稱奇的是，玄奘在《大唐西域記》中，還特別指出：巴米揚(yáng)東西大佛，建立之前，此處已存在先王所建的伽藍(lán)。

“城東二三里伽藍(lán)中有佛入涅槃臥像，長千余尺”。

這是《大唐西域記》中的原文。

可見，一千多年前，在我國唐朝時(shí)期，阿富汗巴米揚(yáng)這片區(qū)域，就已經(jīng)是一片“佛國勝地”了。

所以，當(dāng)年遺留下那么多古跡，也就在情理之中了！
